National Survey of Medicaid Recipients
Movement Economics was contracted by People’s Action Institute to help carry out a survey of close to 3,000 Medicaid applicants and recipients to learn about their experiences applying for and renewing coverage and accessing medical services. The survey project was a collaboration between three national community organizing networks - People’s Action Institute, Center for Popular Democracy, and Make the Road New York/States. Movement Economics worked in collaboration with a researcher at the Center for Popular Democracy to develop and test a survey instrument, set up the online survey to be administered through Survey Monkey, and provide technical support to affiliate organizations as they fielded the survey. Movement Economics took the lead on cleaning survey data, producing bi-weekly reports on survey collection progress, and analyzing survey data and producing tables with results. We also co-authored the final national report and 18 state profile reports.
